This article presents a classification technique basedon the main seize properties of high range resolution radar(HRR radar), by extracting a group of descriptors. Specifically,it is proposed an automatic procedure to obtain some featuresof the HRR radar targets to facilitate their classification. Thesefeatures are: the distance, speed and longitudinal dimension ofthe target, its integrated distance profile and its basic rangedopplerimage. Experimental results of target classification arealso presented based on frames obtained with a non-coherentscanning HRR radar (HRR radar ARIES, X-band), and withframes obtained with a coherent tracking HRR radar (HRRradar sensor, millimetre-band).
