Resumen:

The use of millimeter-wave radars allows a weightand size reduction of the circuits and antennas, which is aninteresting characteristic for Through the Wall Surveillance(TWS) applications. Furthermore, using millimeter-wave banda large amount of bandwidth can be easily transmitted due tothe relative bandwidth is smaller. This leads to a high rangeresolution that allows discriminating several targets very closein range, e.g. inside a room. This paper studies the feasibility ofusing a millimeter-wave Linear Frequency ModulatedContinuous Wave (LFMCW) radar in a TWS application. ATWS experiment in a real scenario has been done todemonstrate the validity of the theoretical analysis.
