Resumen:

An algorithm for calculating resonances of losslesseletromagnetic problems segmented into elementary blocksis presented. The method is based on the pole expansion ofthe Generalized Admittance Matrix (GAM) of each elementaryblock. The connection of all blocks composing a geometry canbe realized in pole expansion format efficiently, without doing afrequency sweep. The result can be used as elementary blocks of anew and more complex geometries, so the results in 1-D problemscan be used as blocks of 2-D and 3-D problems. The TransverseResonance Method (TRM) stablish that the resonance frequenciesare the poles of the GAM of the whole circuit. The poles and theresidues of the connection of two elementary blocks are explicitlycalculated from the poles and residues of each elementary block,so no transcendental equation has to be solved by numericalmethods as is usual in TRM.
