Resumen:

We have studied and compared two RF architectures suitable for SDR: Zero-IF y Low-IF: Without image signal, best results with Low-IF. For similar image and desired signal levels, similar performance. For image signal level grater than desired signal, Low-IF has less quality. We have studied an innovative and interesting architecture for SDR: the six-port receiver Zero-IF advantages without the I-Q mixer problems Broadband capability Software configuration and calibration, multi-standard operation Calibration Procedure Precalibration: fixed method, the quality depends on measure errors, tolerances, drifts, ageing Autocalibration: time-real dynamic and versatile method that adjusts to the signal Future technologies LTCC: broadband, low cost, integration, compact and environmentally rugged modules.
