Resumen:

This paper presents the design of a 100 GHzimaging radar system with operating bandwidth of 9 GHz. Itresults in a range resolution below 2 cm. The high-resolutionFMCW radar consists of a front-end of commercial componentsoperating at frequencies up to 100 GHz. Its block diagram andthe different subsystems are described in detail, such as themicrowave subsystem. Components of the transmission chainhave been designed and fabricated in microstrip technology,previous to being integrated in a compact module. Finally, inorder to improve the performance features of the system, anextension to 300 GHz is proposed.
