In this paper several radiofrequency (RF)architectures have been investigated in order to find a flexible,reconfigurable and multi-mode RF front-end for SoftwareDefined Radio (SDR). The objective is to develop a newprofessional mobile broadband communication system, orientedto public and governmental services. Different receiverprototypes based on the studied architectures have beenimplemented. The prototypes have been characterized andexperimentally validated with good performance. Thecomparison of the RF architectures from the measurementresults will be presented.
