Resumen:

For the last ten years, since the crash of Concordeat Charles de Gaulle International Airport on July 2000, therehas been a big concern about the detection and removal of FOD(Foreign Object Debris). The direct and indirect costs of FODdamage (also known as FOD, Foreign Object Damage) havebeen estimated in $13 billion USD per year. The use of radartechnology has become an alternative way to detect theseobjects and it has been already installed in some airports. Here,it has been studied the feasibility of a high-resolution radar inmillimeter-wave band to detect FOD, which has been designedin the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
