Resumen:

This paper introduces some experimental results yielded by ARIES, the new high- resolution radar developed by Indra Sistemas S.A. in co-operation with the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and the Spanish Ministry of Defence. This system is primarily aimed at the detection and identification at sea of low RCS surface and skimming targets, although its short-term evolution will encompass airport surveillance applications.
