Resumen:

Wireless local area networks (WLAN) technology basedon the 802.11 family has become a resource in solvingcommunication needs in multiple applications. With the appearanceof IEEE802.11e, some of the applications that have gainedmomentum are those related to the communications that not onlytransport LAN data or web type Internet access, but also mainly IPbasedvoice and video with strict QoS requirements. This fact willmake necessary to adapt procedures commonly used in the planningand dimensioning process of IEEE802.11 networks. In this paper, aprocedure to assess quality of service in EDCA IEEE802.11enetworks with both real and non real time services is presented.
