One of the main advantages of a Direct Radiating Array (DRA) is its capacity of handling a large number of beams. This makes the amplifiers of the DRA work with multiple carriers which are combined according to different illumination laws (phase and amplitude). For this reason it is needed to define an appropriate input back-off (IBO) in these amplifiers in order to preserve their linearity.
