Resumen:

Design for broadband IMD optimization of a MMIC mixer based on a Gilbert Cel l with HEMT technology is reported. The developed method is based on Volterra series analysis and closed-form expressions are obtained. An MMIC Gilbert Cel l was implemented and the design method was validated comparing the theoretical results with measured data. The multidevice chip was also widely characterized at microwave frequencies up to 10 GHz demonstrating a good performance, with low LO level and power consumption.
